On Monday, August 21, 2025, World Entrepreneurship Day, CM Nayab Singh Saini officially established the Haryana Provincial Entrepreneurship Commission. The declaration was made at Chaudhary Charan Singh’s Haryana Institute in Hisar at an event about business.

 

Goals and the fundamental Responsibility

 

Fostering the Growth of Startups

With over 9,000 DPIIT-recognized firms, over 45% of which are led by women, the commission wants to threefold the number of entrepreneurs in Haryana.

 

Improving Creativity and Diversity

Its goal is to create a thriving, multicultural atmosphere that encourages entrepreneurship, innovation, and fair growth throughout the state.

 

Notable Projects Covered by the Council

 

  1. Fiscal Assistance & Loans
  • Issued subsidies of ₹114.3 lakhs to 22 enterprises, primarily via the already-functioning Agri Business Innovation Facility.
  • Supporting the establishment of a “Fund of Funds” to draw in and collect private funding for regional projects.

 

  1. Contests for Startup Idea Slogans
  • Designed to foster local innovation, the event is held in colleges and schools and offers cash prizes of up to ₹1 crore.

 

  1. A Fortnight of Entrepreneurship (Aug 21–Sep 4)
  • It includes a lively variety of conferences, meetings, discussions, and competitions for brainstorming ideas.
  • Celebrates all ideas, no matter how tiny, and embodies the theme of “Chhota Koi Kaam Nahi, Hunar Se Naam Sahi.”

 

Areas of Excellence
  • Designed for each district and created through a public-private partnership (PPP) to offer support, amenities, instruction, and specialized assistance.

 

  1. Employing apprenticeships to engage young people
  • The Chief Minister Yuva Kaushal Samman Yojana will provide ₹10,000 stipends to about 2,000 graduates and postgraduate students.
  • Intended to relate learning to hard work and the development of beneficial abilities.

 

  1. Talent Appreciation & Support
  • Haryana medal winners in the World Skills Olympiad might receive cash rewards of up to ₹10 lakh.
  • Up to ₹10 lakh in extra help or jobs as skill instructors in educational institutions are available to aspiring business owners.
  • Outstanding performers at the national level may receive ₹5 lakh in funding.

 

  1. Celebrating ‘Vocal for Local’ at the Swadeshi Fair
  • At the Flamingo Center, CM Saini also opened a four- days Swadeshi Fair with about 70 stalls selling locally made goods.
  • In keeping with the “Vocal for Local” philosophy, this fair sought to support regional business owners and craftspeople.
