Candidates protest: The fight for justice
by Sameer Khan
Thousands of aspiring candidates and teachers across India are up in arms over the growing controversy surrounding the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) examination scam, which has exposed massive irregularities in the recruitment process for government jobs. Allegations of question paper leaks, server manipulation, and the involvement of organized rackets have raised serious concerns about the integrity of exams like SSC CGL and CHSL, affecting lakhs of students. Protests have erupted nationwide, from Delhi to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, with candidates demanding a CBI investigation, accountability from SSC officials, and reforms for transparent recruitment. Teachers and coaching institutes have also joined the movement, voicing frustration over the erosion of merit and fairness in the system. Despite mounting pressure and trending social media campaigns like #SSCScam and #JusticeForAspirants, the government’s response has been limited, with minor actions and promises of technical upgrades failing to restore trust. As the protests intensify, the demand for systemic change grows louder, making it clear that India’s youth will no longer stay silent against exam-related corruption
